A great end to the season for YAS 29 qualifying 6th in the Avanzato class with a great qualifying lap of 2’00.485s. The race conditions were good although the race start was delayed due to foggy conditions in the early hours which delayed the entire programme. The Engineer got off to a good start and made up 2 positions in the general classification (Including both Pro & Avanzato) moving up from the grid position of 18th to 16th on lap 2 and also clocked a lap time of 2’00.5s, however the race was red flagged due to oil on the track.
After some great work by the circuit officials and marshals the quick re-start procedure was followed to start the race again with a reduced distance from 10 to 5 laps. The Engineer got off to a reasonable start but could not get into the rhythm and after a couple of laps started to loose places and fall back. YAS 29 only managed a best lap of 2’01.859s and finished in 8th but secured a 2nd place for the 202.5 category and 3rd for the Over 30 category.
